About Me

I’m a product designer and researcher with a background in software engineering. Before moving more deeply into design, I worked at Microsoft and Google on developer platforms, cloud systems, and applied machine learning.

I recently completed the University of Washington’s Master of Human-Computer Interaction + Design (MHCI+D), where my work moved across AI-assisted workflows, physical interaction, human spaceflight, and research into how people coordinate with increasingly capable systems.

I’m especially interested in problems where the interface is only one part of a larger system—where behavior depends on software, physical environments, institutions, other people, and the assumptions built into the technology.

How I work

I like entering unfamiliar technical domains. I tend to start by understanding the system around the interface—people, infrastructure, constraints, and existing workarounds.

I move between abstraction and implementation. Research framing, system models, interaction design, prototyping, and code are all useful depending on the question.

I care about what happens around the interface. Coordination, material environments, institutional processes, and social context often matter as much as the screen itself.
